It's designed around the idea that "white noise" (think ocean waves or vacuum cleaner) can calm a baby due to its repetitive sound. There are eight selections for a total of 72 minutes. They include: rain on roof, ocean waves, washing machine, restaurant noises, vacuum cleaner, car wipers and rain, hair blow-dryer, and maternal heartbeat. You may find that your baby prefers one track to all the others, which means you'll be playing it again and again. But it sure beats running the vacuum cleaner or washing machine all day!
