The benefits of practicing yoga while you're pregnant are far-reaching, say devotees. Yoga can energize your body and mind, aid in digestion, lessen muscle fatigue, and help you sleep more soundly. Basically, it's everything a pregnant gal could ask for. Veteran yoga instructor Shiva Rea leads Yoga Journal's Prenatal Yoga 50-minute workout video. She and two pregnant participants perform a 30-minutes series of stretching and strengthening exercises that are adjusted for each trimester of pregnancy. They each wear different colored-outfits so you can easily pinpoint the appropriate trimester. A series of floor exercises comes next, followed by a meditative cool-down. This tape is recommended for all levels, even beginners.
