Babies love predictability, animals, and bold colors which is why Bill Martin, Jr.'s and Eric Carle's Brown Bear, Brown Bear has been beloved by children for more than 30 years. This simple board book asks the same question of every animal, addressing each by name, like so: "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, what do you see?" The response predicts what you'll find on the following page: "I see a Red Bird looking at me." "Red Bird, Red Bird, what do you see?" And so the book continues, each page unfolding a large, colorfully illustrated animal for your child to behold.
On the last page, a group of children are asked to recount what they've seen, whereupon they list each of the nine animals. Since this book is sure to become a favorite bedtime read, it won't be long before your little one is able to predict what lies ahead on each page -- a real treat for Mom or Dad.
