Books
PLAYSKOOL BABYFACESPublisher/Manufacturer: DuttonThere's not a lot of "reading" to this book, but it's perfect for infants age four months to a year since its got plenty of clear, bright, oversized images of baby faces. Babies are known to respond to human faces even as newborns, and slightly older infants love to look at other babies--in person and in books. The die-cut tabs down the sides of each page make it easy and fun for little fingers to grasp and turn, and also helps develop motor skills. When your baby is nearing one, the one-word labels on each page will assist in baby's quest to put words with images. But it's never to early to start "reading" to your child. Newborns love the sound of your voice, so talk though the different pages, pointing ("There's a hat!") and creating sound effects, such as "This baby is mad. He's crying, waaaah."
