For less than a hundred dollars, you can own a video camera and monitor that are ready to use once you plug them in. The camera can be mounted on the ceiling or a wall to keep it out of the way. And thanks to the camera's infrared technology, your baby can easily be viewed when sleeping in a darkened room. At 6.5 inches tall, the monitor is small, but fits nicely on a dresser or kitchen counter. When not using the video monitor, you can keep the audio feature on for sound monitoring.
