If it can't be your voice and face, the Music In Motion mobile is a good runner-up. The mobile, which is operated by a remote control (a great feature that prevents you from having to disturb baby) plays a lullaby and classical music selection, along with white noise. It's outfitted with four rotating ornaments, including a smile face, flower, heart, and star. As your baby advances, you can flip each one over for more complex designs that will capture her attention, including colorful stripes and tiny balls that move around inside the ornament. Requires three C batteries.
